The post-World war two period which enshrined American-led liberal institutions to govern international relations, are facing a crisis of legitimacy. The unipolar moment which the US enjoyed after the fall of the USSR in the early 1990s, is over. Today, we face a new calibration of international power and war-readiness. It’s a more dangerous world with more war, genocide and state-directed violence.
