Lenin and the Russian Revolution
Saturday 5:00 PM
More than 100 years later, the Russian Revolution is still the highpoint of the international struggle for socialism. The revolution remains the key historical reference point for socialists to this day and the achievements of the Russian working class have yet to be matched. There are many lessons to be drawn from the revolution, but the interventions of the revolutionary Bolshevik Party and its’ leader Vladimir Lenin in particular are worth studying and discussing. Through years of rigorous working class struggle and building a revolutionary organisation capable of leading the working class to victory, Lenin and the Bolsheviks played the decisive role in the success of the Russian Revolution. This session will explore the history of the revolution and the lessons for socialists today.
