The great Palestine revolt of 1936
Sunday 12:00 PM
90 years ago, the British Mandate of Palestine was rocked by a 3-year uprising of Palestinian Arabs against British Colonial rule and the growing violent Zionist movement. The revolt began with a six month general strike and evolved into an armed guerrilla campaign, before being brutally crushed by the British colonial forces and vicious Zionist militia groups that would become the basis for the modern day IDF. The history of Palestine is littered with many struggles like this, as Palestinians fight heroically against their oppression. Come to this session to hear the stories of resistance and the lessons that this struggle holds till today.
