Party politics: Why revolutionaries need to be organised
Sunday 2:30 PM
Fremantle today is increasingly gentrified. But if you know where to look, there are precious, specific spots where decades ago, mighty class battles took place. A pavement walkway where hundreds of dock workers mobilising to stop the eviction of working-class residents; a road where working-class martyr Tom Edwards, was killed by police violence for opposing scabs; a bridge where community members and unionists throwing debris at a ship with Premier Colebatch on it in opposition to his attempt to mobilise scab labour on the wharf. Join the Radical Fremantle Walking Tour to discover these spots and the working-class history that goes with them.
